PLATFORMS
In this course we are going to use three very important platforms which are often used in school. These platforms are: moodlecloud, edmodo and classroom.
To start with this I am going to explain and talk a little bit about these platforms already named.
MOODLE CLOUD
MoodleCloud site is a
fully hosted version of the latest version of our powerful and
secure Moodle learning platform. You can create courses, provide
activities and resources for learning and assessment, allow learners to
complete quizzes or submit files, grade assignments and communicate with your
learners.
EDMODO
Edmodo is an educational network that aims at
providing teachers with tools to help them connect and communicate with their
students and parents. Via the Edmodo app or website, teachers can share
content, texts, videos, homework and assignments with their students online.
Online tools to help teachers administer their classes have recently grown
in popularity – they are known as Learning Management Systems (LMSs).
CLASSROOM
Google Classroom is
a free web service, developed by Google for schools,
that aims to simplify creating, distributing, and grading assignments in a
paperless way. The primary purpose of Google Classroom is to streamline the
process of sharing files between teachers and students.
Google Classroom combines Google Drive for
assignment creation and distribution, Google Docs, Sheets and Slides for
writing, Gmail for
communication, and Google Calendar for scheduling.
Students can be invited to join a class through a private code, or
automatically imported from a school domain. Each class creates a separate
folder in the respective user's Drive, where the student can submit work to be
graded by a teacher.
